My cheesy little post… This marks my first competition back since 2022 - and wow… i have so much to say 🥹✨🫶🏼 I decided to take a break because I struggled to find a competition with a judging criteria I truly resonated with… I wanted something that mainly placed the focus on performance and dance skills, all while honouring the historical roots of pole. Last year, I attended skrippeddown as a spectator, and something about the energy, the lighting, the crowd, and most importantly, the chance to share the stage with sooo many incredible dancers made me feel like this was the competition I wanted to come back to 🥹🩷 A huge part of that journey has been supported by the creation of my little space, lachromebarre, a private studio in Montréal. I’m beyond grateful for this intimate space- it’s been my sanctuary to train authentically for shows. Thank you to every person who’s used that space— I hope you’ve felt the same magic I’ve experienced. A big thank you to monalisabeth._ for being the most loyal training partner and spending hours in the studio with me inspiring me; to my friend kaorinsta18 for coming to watch me in Waterloo; and to lycheestorm for your endless support and guidance as well as all the other dancers that have danced with me and provided feedbacks! And of course, thank you to onyxsachi and skrippeddown for creating such a beautiful event that brought together so many talented people together from all around. Congratulations to all the competitors for putting on such an amazing show! You all were incredible, and I feel lucky to have shared the stage with with all these icons.
