Canada Post Strike Updates

December 12, 2024 Update:

Holiday Shipping News! (Canada Post Strike Edition)

Ho, ho, uh-oh! Canada Post’s elves are on strike, which might make holiday deliveries a bit slower than usual. But don’t worry—we’ve got backup sleighs (aka alternative couriers) to help save the day!

Here’s the scoop:

Order early to ensure your goodies arrive in time to spread holiday cheer. The earlier, the better—Santa’s schedule is tight this year!  Here is our festive recommendation:

Ontario/Quebec:

December 15th 2024 : Free Shipping Option

December 17th 2024: Purolator Express Upgrade Option

Rest of Canada:

December 12th 2024: Free Shipping Option

December 15th 2024: Purolator Express Upgrade Option

We’d love to promise speedy deliveries, but with the Canada Post strike in full swing, courier networks are juggling packages like a holiday elf after too much eggnog. 🛷📦

Our shipping timelines are based on the latest info from our couriers and serve as a helpful guide. We recommend ordering ASAP and upgrading shipping when you can.

🌟 A quick note: these lead times apply to metropolitan cities. If you’re out in the cozy countryside, please add an extra 2-3 business days. Based on receiving orders before 12:00 PM EST time.  Orders placed after 12 PM, will be processed the following day.

Thank you for your patience as we work some Christmas magic to get your packages to you. If you have any questions, our friendly team is just a jingle away.

Happy Holidays and happy shopping!

November 20, 2024 Update:

Due to the ongoing Canada Post strike, we’ve partnered with alternative carriers, including local couriers such as UniUni, Intelcom, UPS and FedEx, to continue shipping your orders as quickly as possible.

However, some rural areas and P.O. boxes may not be covered by these couriers. If your address falls into one of these categories, you will be assigned a Canada Post tracking number, and your order will be shipped promptly as soon as Canada Post resumes operations.

We are closely monitoring the situation and will update this page with any new information from our Canada Post representative. At this time, we do not anticipate the strike lasting long, and we are committed to keeping you informed every step of the way.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and are working hard to minimize disruptions.

If you’re unsure about your shipping options or have any questions, please reach out to our support team at support@shoefreaks.ca.

Thank you for your understanding and patience as we navigate this situation together!
